A Third Neptunia Game Appears!

Every character except RED. Apparently, she doesn’t exist because the company she’s based on was bought out. Ha ha, very funny, Idea Factory.

So, recent word is that the Neptunia series of games is being continued due to high sales. The new game is apparently called Godly Dimension Game Neptune VICTORY.  Now, while I’m a big fan of the series and its moe personifications of game companies and consoles, and I’m already planning to put money aside for the potential English release, Idea Factory really needs to work hard on this one if they want to increase the series’ fanbase and, y’know, not have people with major problems with every entry like what’s been the case with Hyperdimension Neptunia (Chōjigen Game Neptune in Japan, which translates as Hyper Dimension Game Neptune) and its poor design choices for its gameplay that were caused by a blatantly obvious low budget, as well as Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 (Chōjigen Game Neptune mk2 or Hyper Dimension Game Neptune mk2 in Japan) and its relatively poorly-written story that it had in exchange for far more polished, more distinct, and overall better gameplay.

I’ll just spell it out for those who haven’t figured it out yet. The entire series is a joke about console wars. This is why it’s especially funny that the new game apparently takes place in the 80s. Wasn’t there an industry crash in the 80s? XD

But, really, all I have to say to Idea Factory is that they got the story right before, they got the gameplay right before, but can you do both at once while improving both? If you can, then Neptunia is bound to be a mainstay for many years to come.

Also, hey, NIS America, I know it’s unreasonably early to ask this, but announce a license for this already. :p
