Some Stuff Revealed About Neptunia V and Pokémon Since My Last Post

I’m way overdue for an update. So here’s a short post about notable stuff I’ve been seeing around lately. An update on what I’ve been doing comes right after (as in, I’ll start writing it right after this goes up).

Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 has sure been impressing lately. I mean, not only have they announced an arena in which you can fight past gym leaders, champions and elite Four members (and man do I hope previous protagonists and rivals find their way in), but they go and show this:

Honestly, Game Freak, the only negative thing I can say about this game is that you didn’t go and upgrade this to the 3DS. Just think of all the extra things they could have done with it. They’re even implementing a 3DS minigame/app thing into this thing, called the Pokémon Dream Catcher so they’re at least aware of the benefits that giving people a reason to pick up a 3DS will bring. I mean, Nintendo still needs more pushes for their new system, not more reasons to hang onto that old DS.

In addition, new Neptunia V screenshots and videos have surfaced. Sadly, however, none of them have been ripped from the website yet, except the video (and, luckily, the screenshots show nothing new except what the interface looks like):

One of the people summoned was apparently Nobuo Uematsu, who did the composition for Final Fantasy. There are also a few pictures from a magazine, depicting the seven sages, the main antagonists:

Arfoire and Pirachu return for no apparent reason. Also, apparently the mecha standing next to the little girl is a trap. How does that work? No idea. The old guy apparently sees games as evil.

We also have art for the four landmasses:

Those are, respectively, Planeptune, Lastation, Leanbox and Lowee. As was reported by many sites with the initial announcement, Lowee is certainly quite… Japanese.

And, finally, we have artwork for Iris Heart and an image from an interview in Japan:

Pirachu never stood a chance.
And it’s still hard to believe that this is her normal form.

UPDATE: The screenshots are now available:

  1. On the pokemon video, i loved it, and i can’t help but think how amazingly better the actual show would be if they produced it like an actual anime.
