Jump ToC Rankings (Issue 27, 2014, Issue 28, 2014, Issue 29, 2014)

Geez, I fell three weeks behind again. This happens way too often. I get this up every week elsewhere, but not on my own blog. I don’t know why.

One Piece‘s break was due to a tonsil operation.

World Trigger‘s TV anime announcement is the second-fastest in recent Jump history at 62 chapters in. Only Hunter × Hunter was faster at 54 chapters and Bakuman was the next-fastest at 66.

I’d also like to note that World Trigger is commonly paired with Food Wars! in advertising pushes. Seeing as Nisekoi and Haikyuu!! were also similarly together and also got anime adaptations around the same time, I’d expect Food Wars! to get an anime soon.

I don’t know if I’ve noted this before, but Isobe gets two chapters every issue. One ranked and one at the end.

Illegal Rare volume 1 has sold 38,631 copies in its opening week in Japan, ranking 16th on the sales charts. They needed to do a reprint. This could save it from cancellation, but time will tell – it could also have no effect on its life in the magazine like a few other series.

Information has surfaced regarding a Food Wars! anime possibly being in production. Called it.
